HVC CARES Events
HVC CARES (Heart and Vascular Center Community Awareness Research and Education Saves Lives) is a community outreach program developed to raise awareness about heart and vascular health in our communities, and identify those at risk for heart disease by providing free screening for high blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes.
Through community screening events, HVC CARES is able to help serve residents of rural and underserved communities by traveling to sites in a mobile equipment van with a team of nurses to screen for cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure. We provide educational materials for a heart healthy lifestyle and refer at risk patients to their local health providers.
