Leader: Lora Gerard, MPA
Program Dates: May 22, 29 and June 5 and 12
This four-part workshop will combine the process of reminiscing and reflecting with an opportunity to do life review. All of these experiences can have benefits for mental and physical health; we will discuss the differences and benefits in the first workshop.
During the workshop sessions we will view or listen to various forms of media (images, audio) and share thoughts and experiences that come to mind. At the end of each session, while we are still in a remembering frame of mind, two life review questions will be asked.
The participants may write or audio record their thoughts about the question prompts after the session but will not be asked to share them with anyone.
Some of these questions will be challenging- the intent is to reflect back on your rich life and consider what to share with others as you age.
This is a four-part series. When you register for the first session, you will be enrolled for the full program. To allow a safe space for the group to share personal stories, we encourage participants to attend all of the sessions.
This is a virtual program. You will receive the zoom link for the program an hour before the class.
