Supervisor Training for Employee Leaves of Absence

Human Resources offers monthly training sessions to help leaders manage employee leaves of absence. These are hosted via WebEx on the third Tuesday of every month from 12 to 1 pm.

For those who manage employees, attending this training will equip you with the knowledge necessary to navigate various types of leaves and workplace accommodation requests to ensure our policies support employees when they need to be out of work, and to help leaders identify how to manage leave of absence requirements, compliantly, with confidence and in support of your employee’s needs.

This training will cover the Leave Department and leader’s role, and the responsibilities of the employee who is out of work or requires an accommodation, including:

• Types of Leave
• Leave of Absence Procedures – How to Apply & Timelines
• Employee & Manager Responsibility, including eTime entry of supplemental pay
• Pay Options
• Return to Work Expectations
