In this series, we will focus on several techniques that can be used in greeting card making, but can also be standalone works of art or used in scrapbooking, collage, and other uses.
You can sign up for individual classes of interest or for all of them(each meeting requires registration). No experience needed and supplies will be provided.
May 4 – Water Marbling
Learn the basics of the ancient art of water marbling, including its’ history across multiple cultures. We will create some marbled papers using basic techniques and discuss how to create a home workspace and the preparation process for the materials used.
May 18– Draw a Spring Flower Bouquet
Using simple drawing techniques we will create a spring flower bouquet, and learn how to use watercolor pencils to add color. If you like to use another media to add color feel free to bring it (no alcohol markers).
June 1-Map Tangling
We will create backgrounds using watercolor, then draw over them to create abstract works that resemble maps. Zentangle experience helpful but not necessary.
